Kitchen Duty
Kevin is right, we do have a fairly healthy number of volunteers. I'm going to do sloppy joes for dinner Thursday night (Sid will help with that), mom (Aunt Marilyn, Mari, Lyn) was going to do Chili one night and I think that Marjorie just volunteered Steven to cook us something famous (but I can't tell what it is exactly). Gavin volunteered for omelettes for breakfast one day. We still have two breakfast slots open. Kevin has volunteered to eat alot... we have a few of those slots left.
Everyone is on their own for lunch.

It sounds delish! I'll even help Marjorie with the dishes.
Cathy and Nancy wrote to say that they will pick up Saturday breakfast. That leaves one breakfast slot still open.
All right! Looks like the volunteers are showing up for the party. Way to go, guys!
Steven - you take Friday night for the Wild Rice Chicken Bog. The html tag changed your text to look like a link but I'm not going anywhere when I click on it.
Mom - You get Saturday night for Grandsir's chili.
OK I'll take Saturday night for grandsir's chili.
Note to all cooks: Better plan on bringing some of your own pots and pans because what they have on the farm probably won't be enough to hold portions for 30 people!!!
We are looking at a maximum of 28 people for any given meal, six of which we can assume eat less than a full sized adult. Let's call dinner time 6:00 PM.
I don't think we ever got arrival times (or days) for everyone. It seems like someone wasn't going to make it until Friday.
For planning purposes: I'll take Thursday night and I'm making sloppy joes, green beans, and a cobbler. Steven you have Saturday night for your Wild Rice Chicken Bog, assume 22 adults and six kids. Mom will make Chili on Saturday night for the same 22/6.
Let's get Gavin to make omelettes on Friday morning. Cathy/Nancy volunteered to make breakfast on Saturday. We still have Sunday morning available.
Uh, Karin, I think you have Steven and I both doing dinner on Saturday night.
Steven, I'll take Saturday and you take Friday, OK?

Sandy said she would do a coffee cake for breakfast one morning. Grammy's recipe ... delicious!!
It's been awhile since I've been in the mountains but I seem to remember that there were snails everywhere.... even if Gavin forgets to bring them I'm sure we can find enough.
Yummm...Smoky Mountain Snails ... has kinda a nice ring to it.
Sandy said her coffee cake will be an extra, not a main breakfast meal, so those flapjacks are sounding really good for breakfast.
Note to the cook: The Sharmas & Brian and Tracy may be leaving before breakfast on Sunday morning, so there would be fewer hungry mouths that day.
Hello All, I mentioned elsewhere that the Underwood 5 would be coming up Thursday with our picnic luch to eat upon arrival. I will also bring a broccoli salad and a potato salad that can be either eaten then for other sandwich bringers or if there are no other lunch time arrivals we can supplement with Karin for our Sloppy Joe Supper. I'll also bring bunches o muffins to go with Gavin's gourmet breakfast next morning (muffins a la Sam's club) Since I didn't sign up in time for full meal slot I'll just round out with drinks etc.. or wash up. (or look busy and have David wash up) Can't wait to see y'all! Lisa
Cathy wrote to say they'll be there on Thursday afternoon, with supplies for cooking breakfast on Saturday.
Looks like we have all the main meals covered. Still room for folks to bring extras like Lisa is, tho ...ide dishes, desserts, various munchies, etc.
