Now we're perkin'!
This Blog is looking good. Always glad to see that names are being added daily. Maybe one of the Smith youngin's can help Steve and Marjorie join up ... I haven't heard from them yet. Yes, I have heard from everyone else, and everyone is coming! Once everyone is one the Blog, then it will easier to communicate between ourselves. It will help us in planning. Speaking of planning: Karin, I stopped by the "Almost Heaven" stables last weekend. They will allow 4 yrs old and above to ride double with an adult, and 5 and over can have their own horse if they want to. No reservations are required ahead of time, and they are open every day in July. $25 per horse, $10 for a kid riding double. About 3 miles from the Goode View. Easy access, great views from the trail.

This sounds like just what I was looking for. The proximity to the farm is a big plus for me (and I know it will be pretty whereever we go). I figure Sheela will choose to double up but she surprises me often by being more adventureous than I expect. I'm glad that Sunil will be old enough to join in. Is he the youngest or does Gavin have one younger?
Excellent! Sheela is still undecided on whether or not she'll ride alone. Two years ago, when I first started to promise to take her, it wasn't an issue because I knew we'd have to double. The vision she's had in her mind the whole time has been of us together.....I'm just a little bit slow off the mark.
The riding stable says we don't need to reserve horses ahead of time, so we can let the little kids decide -- double or solo -- on the spot.
I know this says I'm an anonymous commentor, but I'm in password hell with David.
